What this service involves

Supervision for nurses and allied health professionals training as independent prescribers, or recently qualified and still building confidence. We work through the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Competency Framework for all Prescribers using your real cases, examining your prescribing decisions and testing your reasoning in a way that is supportive rather than punitive. For trainees this includes practice supervision sessions, case based discussion and written feedback suitable for your portfolio. For qualified prescribers this is ongoing reflective supervision that supports revalidation and safe scope expansion. We also support prescribers moving into mental health prescribing for the first time, which is a common transition point where people feel exposed and underprepared.

Who this is for

Trainee non medical prescribers, newly qualified prescribers, clinicians expanding into a new therapeutic area, and employers arranging supervision for a member of staff.

What you receive

Scheduled one to one sessions, written feedback after each session, case based discussion records for your portfolio, explicit mapping against the competency framework, and a supervision summary letter for your employer or university where required.

Format and duration

One to one or small group. Sixty or ninety minutes. Single session, block of six, or ongoing monthly. Remote.
