Post diagnosis support session
Help making sense of a new diagnosis and deciding what to do with it.
What this service involves
A diagnosis often arrives with a report and very little else. This session covers what your report actually means, which recommendations in it are worth pursuing first, what medication does and does not do, what to expect from titration, how to approach your employer or university, and how to explain the diagnosis to family who may be sceptical. We also address the emotional side of a late diagnosis, which people are frequently unprepared for. This is educational and does not involve prescribing.
Who this is for
Adults recently diagnosed with ADHD or autism, and parents of a recently diagnosed child.
What you receive
A live session, a written summary, and a prioritised list of practical next steps drawn from your own report.
Format and duration
Fifty minutes. Remote.
Booking for this service opens shortly. Enquiries welcome.
All services are delivered by a UK registered nurse and independent prescriber holding current NMC registration, enhanced DBS and professional indemnity. Educational and advisory services do not include diagnosis. Services involving direct prescribing to private patients are subject to Care Quality Commission registration and are marked accordingly.
